Sielco Sistemi is currently led by the founding partners who, in 2004, acquired the rights to the SCADA platform Winlog with the goal of enhancing it and turning it into the flagship product of a new company focused on industrial automation, building automation, and home automation. Over the years, the group has expanded with the addition of new partners from the technical field, further strengthening the company’s expertise base. Today, the six partners are actively involved in the business, each with complementary roles and responsibilities, forming the management board that drives the company’s strategic and technological development.

Our History

Sielco Sistemi was founded in 2004 by the group of engineers who developed the SCADA platform Winlog and decided to acquire its rights to enhance it and promote it in Italy and worldwide. To meet market demands for complete SCADA applications, additional hardware products were designed to complement the Winlog software: the input/output modules and serial converters IOlog, and the industrial Panel PCs with Windows operating system PClog. After twenty years of activity, Sielco Sistemi is now present with thousands of SCADA applications in over 70 countries. Several technical milestones over the years demonstrate the team’s efforts in updating and improving the software:

The technical milestones achieved over the years are reflected in the growing commercial success of the Sales Network in Italy and worldwide.

In Italy, the commercial offer includes products, software development, integrated hardware/software solutions, and complete SCADA applications. Products and software development are primarily aimed at system integrators, electrical installers, and engineering companies, which in turn build SCADA applications. Integrated solutions are designed for machine manufacturers, who use them to control the equipment they produce. Complete SCADA systems are targeted at companies seeking tailored projects to enhance the supervision and efficiency of their production lines.

Internationally, the commercial approach is mainly based on distributors who resell products within their respective territories. When distributors also operate as SCADA system providers, Sielco Sistemi often handles the development of specific parts of the software. With selected strategic partners, Sielco Sistemi has also established commercial agreements to supply branded products.

We have developed and contributed to systems for the supervision of industrial and civil plants, as well as for data acquisition and production analysis, for quality control of production and conservetion processes. Over the years, we have built solid expertise across a wide range of industries, including textiles, plastics, woodworking, food processing, ceramics, and renewable energy such as solar and wind power.

SCADA supervisory control of an automatic installation for carburizing, tempering and hardening heat treatments

Sielco Sistemi developed a comprehensive SCADA supervisory control system for an automatic installation dedicated to heat treating processes, specifically carburizing, tempering and hardening. Based on the Winlog Pro SCADA HMI platform and integrated with an MQTT/Modbus IoT Gateway, the system manages a continuous treatment line in which batches of metallic components undergo precisely controlled thermal cycles. The SCADA application communicates with a PLC network based on Siemens SIMATIC S7 through an Applicom server, ensuring reliable and real-time data exchange across all treatment stations.

SCADA for gas barrier film extrusion coating lines: supervision, recipes and quality reporting

Producing high-performance gas barrier films demands a multi-stage line that combines cast film technology with extrusion coating technology, a pairing that raises line output while delivering optimum product quality: no "curl" effect, excellent film transparency, precise gauge control and a high rate of edge trim reintegration back into the line.
